The natural pigment responsible for coloring of the fish is astaxanthin (red dye). Astaxanthin is produced by some algae found in oceans and seas.
However, this component is obtained from animals that feed on the algae (krill, crawfish, lobster, shrimp).
The second component which is present in foods myoglobin is beta-carotene which is used for normal fish growth and stimulates the immune system.
Remember that these foods should be added to the diet - do not constitute the primary ingredient, which we feed our fish.
